Step 1
The first step to enrolling your child at Karuna is to make an appointment for a school tour. During the tour, our Principal will show you around the school and introduce you to the Montessori Curriculum.

We run parent tours on Fridays and appointments are kept to a 30-minute time slot. Should you require an alternative time slot, please contact the office on (02) 9971 0654. We encourage you to bring your child along to the observation so they too can get a feel for the school.

The second step is to complete our online waitlist application form. When a place becomes available, you will be emailed an enrolment application form to complete.
In order for your child to be eligible for enrolment, they must have an up-to-date immunization history statement (or proof of catch-up schedule) and birth certificate. For more information about immunizations in Australian preschools, please follow this link.

Following the completion of the enrolment application form, our administration and enrolments officer will get in touch to schedule a short interview between yourselves and the Principal.

The final step is taken only after consideration by the Enrolment Committee. The start date depends on the Principal’s assessments of the child’s readiness.

Should your application be successful, you will be offered a place which will only be confirmed upon receipt of the placement fee, enrolment fee and NBMA membership fee, as outlined in our Schedule of Fees.

The school generally admits children to the school in Terms 1, 2. Children are usually admitted in the term in which they turn three years of age. Start dates are staggered so as to assist the children in adjusting to their new environment, as well as minimising disruption to the rest of the class.
